ICC Member and Community Representatives Applications

The Department of Developmental Services is soliciting applications for appointment to the California Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC) on Early Intervention and as community representatives to the ICC. ICC members are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Governor. Community representatives are appointed by the ICC Chair.

ICC Member Applications:

The federal regulations governing the ICC, 34 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Section 303.601, prescribe the overall composition of the ICC and define specific percentages of membership for parents and providers of early intervention services. The call for member applications address the following categories where vacancies currently exist:

Parents: At least 20 percent of the members must be parents, including minority parents, of infants or toddlers with disabilities or children with disabilities aged 12 or younger, with knowledge of or experience with, programs for infants and toddlers with disabilities. At least one member must be a parent of an infant or toddler with a disability or a child with a disability aged six or younger.

Providers: At least 20 percent of the members must be public or private providers of early intervention services.

Applicants for ICC membership are required to fill out an official Office of the Governor Application Form.

The information requested should be typed in the spaces provided on the application form. Indicate "Interagency Coordinating Council, State" as the position sought. You may explain your answers to particular questions by use of attachments. The attachments should be numbered according to the question asked.
