DRAFT Self-Directed Services Regulations

The Self-Directed Services (SDS) program was created through legislation passed in 2005 as part of the Omnibus Health Trailer Bill to the Budget Act of 2005, Assembly Bill 131. Section 4685.7 of the Welfare and Institutions Code authorizes the Department to promulgate regulations for the program: "In order to provide opportunities to participate in the program, the department shall adopt regulations, consistent with federal law, to implement the procedures set forth in this section."
