Proposed Self-Directed Services Regulations

The Self-Directed Services (SDS) program was created through legislation passed in 2005 as part of the Omnibus Health Trailer Bill to the Budget Act of 2005, Assembly Bill 131. Section 4685.7 of the Welfare and Institutions Code authorizes the Department to promulgate regulations, consistent with State and Federal law, to implement SDS.

Proposed regulations will be posted upon filing with the California Office of Administrative Law and initiation of the formal public comment period.
