The World of Work in 2005-2006
The information below was used in employment symposia conducted statewide for the 21 regional centers. There were sessions on California Regional Center Service Categories, Public Benefits Planning, Competitive Employment and Careers, Micro-enterprise development and Self-employment and the development of collaborative implementation plans. The goal was to provide an overview of current opportunities and practice to make “Work for All” a typical outcome of California regional center service planning and delivery. It is hoped that symposium participants will begin work on collaborative plans to increase the current employment opportunities in local communities.
