- Identify the provider group below that best represents your status.
- Click on the contact list and locate your vendor name and number. Verify your information has been submitted or your support request has been received and logged:
- If your vendor name and number are on the list, you do not need to call or email support again. A team member will be assigned and will make contact.
- If your vendor name and number are not on the list, email providerdirectory@dds.ca.gov to be logged and placed in the support queue.
The Department and its contractor, Protiviti, will be working through the backlog of self-reported surveys to respond to service providers in the order the support issue was received. The Department also has given regional centers these lists.
* The lists will be updated weekly on Thursday. The last update was 01/16/2025.
Provider Groups
- Completed All Steps: Vendor List Service providers that COMPLETED all steps in the directory by November 29 require no further action. Congratulations, this group has successfully met the requirements of the Quality Incentive Program and will receive both the one-time lump-sum incentive payment and quality incentive rate component effective January 1.
- Missing/Incorrect Data in the Directory: Vendor List Service providers that COMPLETED the data collection survey (step 1) by October 4th and RECEIVED an invitation to the Provider Directory must submit their record(s) to be eligible for both 100% rate reimbursement and a one-time lump-sum payment. This group is being prioritized for outreach and will be eligible for the quality incentive effective January 1, although some may require payment adjustments retroactive to that date. If the delay in submitting data is due to the Department’s loading of data and response time, they will be eligible for the lump-sum one-time payment and the January 1 quality incentive.
- Submitted Survey and not in Directory: Vendor List
Service providers that COMPLETED the data collection survey (step 1) by October 4th but DID NOT RECEIVE an invitation to the Provider Directory, are eligible for 100% rate reimbursement and one-time lump-sum payment. The Department has a list of all providers in this group and is sending confirmation emails to those contacts once their data is loaded into the Provider Directory by the Department.
- Effective January 1, 2025, their reimbursement rate will be the full rate. They will receive their invitation to the Provider Directory with a specified deadline and are expected to register and submit their record(s) timely.
- Did Not Complete Any Steps: Vendor List Service providers that DID NOT COMPLETE the data collection survey (step 1) by October 4th are ineligible for the one-time lump-sum payment and their reimbursement rate will not be updated to 100 percent of the rate model effective January 1, 2025. They will be eligible for the quality incentive payment to reach 100 percent of the rate starting at a future date, assuming their eventual completion of both steps. The Department support team will be making contact with this group of providers to collect the needed information to load into the directory.
- New Vendor Numbers: No Available Vendor List All NEW VENDOR NUMBERS created from September-December 2024 will be eligible for the quality incentive payment to reach 100 percent of their rate effective January 1. Any new vendor numbers created after January 1 will be eligible for the quality incentive once their data has been loaded into the Provider Directory. All new vendors will receive a confirmation that their data is loaded into the Provider Directory and do not need to contact the support team.
The data in Groups 2-4 was self-reported by service providers to our program support staff. Some providers may appear on multiple lists due to overlapping issues. Please note that additional work may be necessary to ensure that all of a provider’s information is accurately included in the Provider Directory and validated by the provider. We are actively working to resolve the issues identified in these logs and will remove providers from the support logs as these issues are addressed.
If you are NOT listed in one of the above lists and have contacted support, expect a call or email soon. Please be patient. The Department and its contractor are working through a backlog of support calls and emails.
About the Provider Directory
Helping Californians with developmental disabilities and their families access services is central to the DDS mission. To make provider data easier to find and use, DDS is gathering service provider information into one, centralized, online portal called the “Provider Directory.”
This Provider Directory will be developed in phases. For phase 1, only select regional center staff and service providers can access the directory.
Why is this important?
With accurate data, the Provider Directory will serve two key functions:
- For advocates and families: Identify service provider options in their community.
- For service providers: Earn a possible one-time payment from the Quality Incentive Program (QIP) for complete submissions. Provider directory data will be used to inform the 10% change in rate setting.
We will rely on the Provider Directory information for future QIP activities, including payment for outcome and quality measures.
NEW As of October 29, 2024, the Provider Directory is LIVE! Please review the applicable drop down below for role specific information and on-demand training support.
