Disability Pride Month is a time to celebrate identity, visibility, and the strength of community. All month long, regional centers across California have been sharing stories that show what pride looks like in everyday life for the people in their areas.
At San Diego Regional Center, Faith Davies is gaining skills and confidence through volunteering with animals and starring in community theater. At Inland Regional Center, Gregory Harrison led a sock drive to support local kids. And at North Los Angeles County Regional Center, Christian Lifonzo has worked hard on his journey to become an engineer at Lockheed Martin.
Each of these stories reflects the talent and pride found across our State. They also show what’s possible when people have support and believe in themselves.
