Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Early Start Partners Symposium (ESPS)! ESPS is an annual event that brings together individuals, families, and Early Start professionals and partners for professional development and networking opportunities. This year’s event was held July 17-18, with a training day for Regional Center Service Coordinators on July 16th. There were several incredible presenters this year. Keynote speakers were Valerie Williams, Director of the U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs, and Sharon Walsh, Governmental Relations Consultant for the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children. The event covered important topics like supporting mental wellness and reaching diverse communities. Attendees also heard about federal and state policies impacting Early Start and so much more.
The event wrapped with a panel discussion with Ulisses Arias, Herb Hastings, Elizabeth Grigsby, and Audrua Sysum. Each panelist shared their experiences navigating services and accomplishing their goals. We’re grateful for the great turnout and look forward to applying what we learned to the year ahead!
