How would you want to manage your services and supports or work with your regional center online?  Now is the time to share your ideas about the Life Outcomes Improvement System, or LOIS!  LOIS is a multi-year project that will replace outdated technology to better support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, regional centers, and service providers.  To make sure we’re building the system the right way, we need to hear from you, a future user of LOIS.

Watch the LOIS Kickoff Webinar (40 min) to learn about the project and see details below for how you can share your ideas.

Join an in-person town hall meeting for individuals and families.

These in-person listening sessions are only for local individuals and families who receive regional center services.  Space is limited to 50 participants at each event to allow for productive conversations.  Register for one of the events below with the town hall registration link.

  • Berkeley: August 25, 10a.m.-12p.m.
  • Fresno: September 11, 10a.m.-12p.m.
  • Pomona: September 16, 10a.m.-12p.m.
  • San Diego: September 23, 10a.m.-12p.m.

*Please note: Input from regional centers and service providers is being collected separately.

Join one of the 2 virtual town hall meetings.

Unable to attend an in-person townhall?  Don’t worry! Virtual town halls will be held using Zoom.  These meetings also will be only for individuals and families.  Information about them will be shared in a future email and on our events webpage.

Visit the LOIS webpage anytime.

You can fill out the “Share Your Ideas” form on our website at www.dds.ca.gov/LOIS

Email the team anytime.

Send your ideas to LOIS@dds.ca.gov

All community input from the virtual meetings, calls, emails and in-person town halls will be considered.  You do not need to submit your input more than once or participate in multiple meetings.

However you choose to share your thoughts with us, we look forward to hearing more about what you want LOIS to do.  Thank you to everyone who already has shared their thoughts and feedback.
