DDS’s workforce initiative team is happy to share that over 76,000 Direct Service Professionals (DSP) have participated in the DSP Training Stipend program. The program is a way for qualified DSPs to get paid while they enhance their professional development. There’s still time to participate!

With the DSP Training Stipend program, DSP can earn up to $1,250 (before taxes) for completing two hours of approved training. The online training is available in the ARCA Learning Center. The deadline to participate is August 31, 2024.

The DSP Training Stipend Program is part of the Department of Developmental Services’ Workforce Initiatives. The initiatives aim to recruit and train direct service professionals from diverse communities across California. Several initiatives are focused on retaining and providing career advancement for quality DSPs with competency-based trainings, stipends, pay differentials, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
