We’re excited to share that Aaron Christian has been appointed by Governor Newsom as Chief of Population Risk, Quality Assurance, and Data Operations.  Aaron has been serving in this role on a temporary basis for several months and now officially joins the Director’s Office.

This is a new leadership position for the Department.  Aaron will oversee teams focused on information technology, data and research, quality assurance, and risk management.  He brings nearly five years of valuable experience with our Department, including leading the Provider Directory and the Quality Incentive Program (QIP).

Before that, Aaron spent a decade working at the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center, supporting services and community programs.  Earlier in his career, he worked as a youth counselor at the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, and as a program manager at Esperanza Services.  He has a master’s degree in public administration from California State University, Northridge, and a bachelor’s degree in human services from the University of Phoenix.

Congratulations Aaron on your appointment!
