A new, standardized vendorization process is in place to make it easier and more consistent for service providers to become a vendor. The process, managed within the Provider Directory, will create a more efficient and transparent system for everyone. Each regional center is phasing in its use, and almost all new vendorizations must use this new process on and after March 1, 2026.
On December 2, 2025, a virtual Town Hall introduced the new standardized vendorization process and showed how it will work. If you missed it, you can watch the recording on YouTube.
Key Dates to Remember
- Starting December 3, 2025: Vendorization may be completed in the Provider Directory. Check with your area’s regional center about which process to use.
- Starting March 1, 2026: New vendor applications must be completed in the Provider Directory. Some services are excluded or delayed. See the directive for details.
- Starting July 1, 2026: All Purchase Reimbursement (Service Code 024) applications must be submitted through the Provider Directory.
Each regional center will continue to share instructions on how to apply to become a vendor in their area during this transition period.
