With implementation of rate reform, most services transitioned to appropriate service codes but in some cases providers deliver services that do not align with services defined in statute, regulation, and/or the directives issued as part of rate reform. Often, these services use either one of the following service codes 048- Client/Parent Support/Behavior Intervention, 055- Community Integration Training Program, 063- Community Activity Support Services and 103- Specialized Health, Treatment and Training. If a regional center determines that a provider’s service does not fit into any of the updated service descriptions, the regional center must request Department approval to utilize one of the service codes listed above.
