This slide deck and companion tip sheet provides basic information on bullying, the effects of bullying, signs of bullying, and how to recognize or help someone who may be bullied.

This tool can be provided to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help them talk to individuals about bullying to help reduce the risk of harm to the individuals they support.

DSPs can play a key role to help the individuals they support understand and address the signs of bullying. This tip sheet outlines tips and do’s and don’ts about helping someone who may be bullied.

If someone feels bullied, they may feel most comfortable sharing their experiences with their DSP. This activity will help determine what is happening to the person who may be bullied and what can be done to help them.
