The Department appreciates the ongoing partnership and patience of regional centers and service providers in advancing Rate Reform efforts. This work is a major investment in the infrastructure and future of California’s developmental disabilities services system.
January 1, 2025 marked the final phase of Rate Reform. Directives with guidance for regional centers and providers have been released and are posted on the rate reform directives and updates webpage. The Department continues to work with service providers and regional centers to provide technical assistance, and to review and adjust unique rate models.
Provider Directory Substantial progress has been made on the Provider Directory, thanks to the full support of the regional center and service provider community. Several thousand updated vendor numbers were loaded into the directory, creating the opportunity for many more service providers to log in and update their information in the system and earn incentives.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out to service providers to support their participation in the Provider Directory. Once complete, this online portal will be used to input, store, and view information about service providers statewide. It became available for regional centers and service providers in October 2024, to validate basic information. Future phases will focus on making the Provider Directory accessible to individuals and families to locate service providers.
