Prepare for your IPP: New Person-Centered Planning Video Tools 

It’s all about YOU!  When setting your goals and planning for services and supports to achieve those goals, keep things person-centered.  The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) created a Person-Centered Planning video series to prepare you and the people who will be in your Individual Program Planning (IPP) meeting to think about what you want for your life and future.  In the videos you will find:

• Examples of Californians talking about their strengths and what they like about themselves
• Rights you have when planning your services and supports
• Stories from people about their experience with person-centered service planning, and what has been important to them in their planning process
• Ideas about things to keep in mind when planning your own services and supports

¡Todo se trata de USTED!  Al establecer sus metas y planificar los servicios y apoyos para lograr esas metas, mantenga las cosas centradas en la persona.  El Departamento de Servicios de Desarrollo (DDS) creó una serie de videos de Planificación Centrada en la Persona para prepararlo a usted y a las personas que estarán en su reunión del Plan de Programa Individual (IPP) para pensar en lo que usted quiere para su vida y su futuro.  En los videos encontrará:

• Ejemplos de Californianos que hablan de sus fortalezas y de lo que les gusta de sí mismos
• Los derechos que tiene al planificar sus servicios y apoyos
• Historias de personas sobre sus experiencias con la planificación de servicios centrado en la persona y lo que ha sido importante para ellos en su proceso de planificación
• Ideas sobre cosas que debe tener en mente al planificar sus propios servicios y apoyos
