Developmental Services Modernization
Project (DSMP) RFI

The Department needs to update the old computer software systems we use for case management, financial management, and to get federal reimbursements. This search for newer technology systems is called the Developmental Services Modernization Project (DSMP).

Modernizing the Department’s computer software systems will:

  • Increase transparency
  • Replace outdated technology tools
  • Make case management & service delivery more efficient
  • Increase compliance with regulations
  • Enhance reimbursement processes

A public Request for Information (RFI) is the first step required to update DDS’ computer software systems. A RFI helps identify technology options already available outside of the Department.

For Public Review: Links to the full DSMP RFI and addendum are in the boxes on the right side of this page.

Timeline

  • May 2023 – RFI released
  • October 2024 – Addendum to RFI released
    • Added to talk about any Artificial Intelligence (AI/GenAI) that might be used
    • Adding requirements for federal reimbursements
  • Early 2025 – DDS will use the information from the RFI to develop a pre-solicitation package
    • This package will be available to anyone interested in the DSMP.
  • Late 2025 – DDS will develop a final solicitation package
    • The final package has to follow all state rules and requirements.
